Michele & Marta … all'infinito

img_1529

Buon viaggio ragazzi:) Linda

Wedding photography in Jersey- St Brelades Bay – Claire & David

Wedding photography in Jersey has always been a pleasure. I had the opportunity of living in Jersey for a few months and fallen completely in love with this island, which is a mixture of France and England but I’d say simply unique.img_4827

I knew it was going to be a beautiful wedding as Claire and David are such a great couple, and of course having Jersey as background makes everything even more romantic…but I wasn’t prepared of being overwhelmed of all that Love in the air and the special relationship between bride and groom and their families. Of course I was one of the people with tears in my eyes, which started at Jessica’s house, where Claire got ready with her mum and her bridesmaids: I walked in and Claire showed me with a joyful smile on her face the 100 red roses with 100 reasons of why David was going to marry her written on 100 cards… and this was just the start:)

Nancy – her mum- Joanne, Mona, Jessica and Mel helped Clair to wear her stunning ivory dress, and when her dad Des came into the room the expression on both parents face doesn’t require any explanation: she was perfect! Before we left to take some shots of the groom and his men we took some nice shots of the bride, her made of honour Joanne and all bridesmaids in their purple dresses in the rear garden. David was already at Gorey waiting for Claire with best man Ben, Rodney and Michael. He was relax and happy – so much more than our pre-wedding shoot, I guess he got used to me and the camera by  the end of it! The ceremony was going to be indoor followed by drinks for the guests in the Castle and then wedding breakfast at ST Brelades Bay hotel at St Brelades.

The ceremony was lovely and Claire was moved when she met David’s eyes waiting for her down the aisle. Mona did a very nice reading from “Sex&the City” and then was time to exchange vows and rings, that have each other fingerprints engraved. It was a very sweet ceremony and we took some nice shots group shots in the Castle and in the herb garden which is a great spot overviewing the sea.

My favourite time of the day arrived- time for romantic shot at St Brelades bay, I was glad when the sun came out from the clouds and although we had some great shots then I still wanted to take some after sunset, later on, to get some shots with lights on and overlooking the bay.

The wedding breakfast room was lovely and well prepared, all windows with seaview, round tables with butterflies place cards  and lovely cupcakes made by Jessica right next to the wedding cake. We had speeches before the wedding breakfast and they were done by Claire’s dad, followed by the amazing speech of the groom – David and his family are from Australia, while David lives in Jersey, his family travelled all the way from Australia to be with him of his wedding day and he was very grateful. He mentioned how amazing was to have Claire in his life and how she was that piece of puzzle which makes him feel complete…it was very romantic!

Best man Ben did a great speech but when was time for the other usher Michael to read his…I guess we were all speechless.  Deeply amazing speech! Time was flying as usual when a day is so special, and  was time for the first dance which was very sweet and then David danced with her mum and Claire danced with her dad.

After Claire danced a song with her friends I took her and David out in the garden in fron the Hotel for last few shots, I just love those ones very much. I was so glad Claire & David booked me as it was one of those weddings where people are all really there to make the day:) and there is this magic in the air…I really enjoyed being with them in this atmosphere, I’ve been talking with almost everybody and enjoyed the company of all guests. Claire & David just started a beautiful trip for life together and they will be travelling around the world for a while, I wish this to be just the beginning of many wonderful things they’ll experience as husband and wife, and hopefully see them again as happy as they are now.
