Wedding Photography- Hengrave Hall – Nyssa & Martin

Wedding photography at Hengrave Hall was a long time dream. Finally I met Nyssa almost one year ago, we had a coffee and a chat as she was looking for a wedding photographer, I loved her personality straight away as she is such a radiant and happy person. Then a few months before the wedding date I met her again with her fianceè Martin, who is just as nice. I was very excited as Nyssa told me their venue was going to be Hengrave Hall in Bury, I’ve heard so much about that location, I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding there. I was already dreaming about shots by the beautiful entrance , by the gate and in the garden. I left London on the Friday with my assistant Marta, we stayed in Bury to make sure we were already close by in the morning to get some shots of Nyssa and Martin getting ready.

Nyssa was at the hairdresser so I first greeted Martin and got introduce to his best man Matt and his ushers, my favourite was Jay, brother of the bride, who was stricking poses everytime I had the camera in my hands! I also met Jaya, Nyssa’s father, so funny, and Martin father, Paul. Nyssa and Martin were getting ready in the same floor but in two different rooms, as seen from the sign on each doors! Martin had to get ready before as he then went to greet the guests arriving at the church while Nyssa could take a bit more time with mum Sally and bridesmaids Vicky, Sarah & Beth.

Boys had time to have a drink and play pool while the girls were having their make up done, the room had a huge clock which was perfect background for some shots of Martin. Nyssa had her dress hanged on the edge of the bed, that was just perfect shot from the mirror;) Sally and the girls had a nice glass of champagne waiting for Nyssa having her make up done and then start getting themselves ready too.

img_70571 img_71922

Time to get to the church and heavy rain started to pour down, but I was sure it was only for a little while and that after sun would have come out again! The church was not far and it was a lovely old fashion English church in Fornham All Saints, just five minutes down the road from Hengrave. After the ceremony sun came out shining again so I could take some nice shots outside the church with families and friends.

Back at Hengrave were we just got the time for the big group shot in the courtyard before rain started pouring down  again!

img_7568

Finally I had a little time with bride and groom, exactly when sun has just come out for our romantic shots! We took some by the main entrance, some by the gate near the lake as Martin likes lakes very much- as I do- so I thought of having them sat down for a quick rest and chat while I was setting up my shot by the lake.

img_7741

img_7693

Even If I wanted to take another hundreds shots was time for wedding breakfast!  Of course I felt like crying a bit when Martin made his speech, but luckily I was interrupted then listening to Matt’s speech telling stories about Martin and memories about how Nyssa and Martin got together which was so much fun! Cutting of cake and first dance came as quick as I could imagine but in between I had another couple of shot  of Nyssa on her own and some with Martin by the main staircase.

My day comes to the end here so time for goodbye and head back to London, had such an amazing time and met very nice people on the day, always makes me happy and glad and love my job even more to be able to share those amazing moments of life with beautiful people like Nyssa and Martin.

Wedding photography in Jersey – Gorey Castle – Joanne and Ben

Wedding photography in Jersey this time left me speechless, we were so lucky with the weather and Joanne and Ben are a very special couple.

It was such a pleasure receiving Joanne e-mail asking about our wedding photography services. I also realized we had something in common as Joanne’s grandparents are from Italy, from Sicily to be precise, and one of the first things the future bride to be told me was that she was going to wear her grandmother wedding dress. I thought: this is amazing, I really want to be part of this wedding. Joanne and Ben are based in North West England but love travelling very much and this is one of the reason why they decided to get married in Jersey; Joanne graduated in Ancient History and Archaeology so she found Mont Orgueil in Jersey perfect venue for their wedding, even because as Joanne anticipated me, “there is very much a vintage, natural theme running through the wedding…”

I really couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding. And so I got ready, packed all my equipment and take a flight from London to Jersey, something I used to do almost every two weeks when I lived there, in the Summer of 2009. Landing in Jersey really takes your breath away as viewing the island from the airplane is already so exciting, so blue and leave you just speechless.

img_4699

First thing I did was to get the car and go to meet the lovely couple for a pre-wedding shoot at Grosnez Castle which overlook the sea on the northwest end of Jerseynear St Ouen’s village. Sky clear and windy as I like it:)

img_4616img_4625

We also had the opportunity to go through all latest details and timing of the wedding the following day at Gorey, it was just a few hours away so future bride and groom were getting very excited!

img_4731

The following morning my assistant Daria and I went to meet Joanne getting ready with her aunties and cousins at the Royal Yacht in St Helier. And there it was that beautiful wedding dress that belonged to her grandmother, right next to the bridesmaids dresses in blue with white ribbon.

Joanne had her aunties Lou and Rosa to help her with hair, make up and friends Hanna , Helen and Hanna who came to check on her while she was getting ready! Outside lovely and sunny day after the heavy rain in the morning. After waiting for Joanne to wear her dress I went to take some shots of the boys waiting at Gorey Castle. Ben seems a little nervous but welcomed us with a big smile on his face and introduced me to best man Tony and ushers Chris, Matt, Luke and Marc. A few shots and time to go get some pictures of Joanne and her dad getting in the Castle.

The ceremony was lovely and then was time for some fun shots with friends- my favourite is the one with the horse he he he- check it out!

and of course some romantic shots of bride and groom- what best background than this one?!!

I also had the opportunity to chat in Italian with Joanne’s grandparents and was very nice how delighted and happy they were on the day. Such a perfect location for a perfect wedding. Ben and Joanne also did their own first dance which was prepared in months of practice and was a nice surprise for all the guests. Was nice to see everybody dancing in the end and fun for me snapping around with my camera to catch the general happiness and love in the air! WHen I left there was this beautiful moon I couldn’t avoid to take a shot! Another thing to remember of this 29th of July 2012, a the wedding o Joanne and Ben, wish them all the love and happiness they could ever dream!

Matrimonio Maria & Daniele – Sarego, Vicenza

img_4373

Wedding photography – Messingham – Karen & Andy

Wedding photography in North Lincolnshire was the first time for Neverland Photography.weddingka389

I was very much looking forward to see Karen and Andy again after one year since I met them. So I got to Karen’s mum house, Merry, in the morning to take some shots of her getting ready. Her best friend Theresa flew over from Canada just for the big day and they haven’t seen each other for 4 years. I started taking some shots of Karen’s things and her stunning Ian Stuart wedding dress.

063

Theresa helped out Karen in wearing her dress and after we took some shots I ran at the Grange Park Golf Club where Andy and his daughter Jessica were waiting for the guests to arrive. The ceremony was very nice and I loved the “recipe for a good marriage” which was read by a friend of the couple.

weddingka419

weddingka359weddingka307

Following our romantic shots we sat down for the wedding breaksfast: room looked amazing, Karen has thought at all details, each menu with name, little flavour, cupcakes, and the most funny wedding cake I have ever seen representing Merry- mother of the bride- who is taking Karen and Andy to get married!! The speeches where short but moving as Theresa talked about her best in such a sweet way I was close to cry too….

A beautiful rainbow appeared out of the dark sky so I dragged my beautiful bride and her husband out again for a couple of shots as I couldn’t resist!

it was such a pleasure photographing Karen and Andy’s wedding, Marta and I felt felt very welcome and so I felt so happy for them and I wish them all the best for their future together.

Chiara & Luca – Cresole, Vicenza

Matrimonio Elisabetta & Riccardo – Monselice

img_9897

Wedding Photography – Shrewsbury -Gwenyth and Stewart

Wedding Photography in a RAF location was not the first time for us as we previously photographed another wedding in this environment.

img_6215

Just got everything ready for my couple of days in Wales as I’m going to photograph the wedding of Gwen and Stewart. I’ve got my new -well second hand but for me very new!- Fiat Brava with all my equipment on and ready to go. After a few hours drive I finally arrived to the church where Gwen is waiting for me to speak about the last few details before the big day. I’m glad I got here on time to see her and Stewart before the ceremony, it’s always good to catch up, go through the last details and have a look at the location which is lovely. The old church of Moreton Corbet is just so cute right in the middle of countryside and right next the beautiful ruins which will be the beautiful background for our romantic shots.

img_1259 img_1830

In the morning I head towards Gwenyth’s parents house where I can take some lovely shots of her getting ready with her sister Megan and her bridesmaids Lizzy, Philippa and best man Sean. Stewart is waiting for Gwen at the church with best man Carwyn and then the bride comes along. Ceremony is nice and happy accompanied by the Egham Brass Band which is the band Gwen play with.

After the romantic shots of the new bride and groom we joined all the guests at the Officers’ Mess at the Raf in Shawbury where we take some group shots and listen to the band and the bride playing together. Time for wedding breakfast and I leave them to enjoy the company of families and friends on their first day as husband and wife.
